Description

This activity gives definitions for the terms rare, endangered and extinct; and photos and names of three birds from each category. Guides sort these into three sets - rare, endangered, extinct, each with a header, a definition, three bird photos and the names of each bird.

Instructions

Print the PDF document which has all materials in it. This includes an answer page.
In patrols, Guides sort into the category, definition, three bird photos and the names of each bird.

When they have finished, then check and remove any incorrect placements. They then try to correctly place those - continue until all are finished.

Come together as a unit. Discuss the categories, and the birds within each category, and if there were any that surprised them.
