Description
Read out the kind acts the Red Cross might provide one by one, asking the young people to stand by the 'True', 'False' or 'Unsure' as to whether it is a service they provide. You might like to discuss whether the service is provided in their community, around the world or other charities that provide that service.
a) Borrowing a wheelchair after a young person has broken a leg (True - this is our Mobility Aid service)
b) Teaching First Aid to people in the community, so they can be prepared to help others in an emergency (True - This is our first aid education service)
c) Cleaning up litter at a local nature reserve (False - this might be organised by a local wildlife trust)
d) Providing computer skills training for homeless people (False - there are various charities such as Crisis who support people who are homeless and campaign to end homelessness.
e) Helping people who are lonely to connect with the community and make new friends (True - this is our Community Connector service)
f) Campaigning for disability awareness? (False - there are various charities that do this, for example the national the National Autistic Society who campaign for autistic people and there families.
g) Helping an elderly person who has come home from hospital by doing some shopping for them (True - this is our support and help service.
h) Setting up a community hall to help people who have left their home following a flood? (True - this is our emergency response service.
i) Helping wildlife by protecting the habitat they depend on (False - various charities including WWF support this
j) Providing advice on mental health issues (False - various charities including mind support people with this)
k) Helping refugees adjust to life here in the UK (True - this is our refugee support service, Various charities including Save the children and Red Cross support refugees and displaced people around the world

Instructions
create Three areas and mark out TRUE, FALSE and UNSURE, and ask the young people to stand in the area they think is the correct answer for each of the questions one by one. you could keep a score and award small prizes such as treats or not.
