Take part in an indoor or outdoor campfire. (Edible campfire biscuits)

Resources

For the chocolate campfire:

• Digestive cookies
• Chocolate icing, chocolate spread or brown icing
• Fire coloured sweets
• Chocolate pretzel sticks or chocolate fingers
• Mini marshmallows.

For the summer/non-chocolate alternative:

• Grapes
• Cheese slices
• Crackers
• Pretzels

Instructions

Chocolate campfire
1. Give each Brownie a paper plate and a biscuit.
2. Using the melted chocolate icing/ chocolate spread, build a fire using pretzel fingers and/or chocolate fingers.
3. Decorate with coloured sweets to look like fire.

Alternative edible campfire
1. Take the cracker.
2. Cut the grapes in half.
3. Place the grapes around the edge.
4. Cut the cheese into flame-like triangles.
5. Place the cheese in the ring of the cut grapes.
6. Use the pretzels to make the logs.

Outcomes:
The Brownies get to practice and hone their outdoor skills indoors by doing this fun activity.
When done with a real fire, the fire bucket would be used to put out the fire and the rake or shovel would be used to stir it up until cold to the touch. However, in this case, just eat the fire and drink from the fire bucket and leave a clean fire area!
