1. Find / draw different road signs – identify
2. Find items beginning with A, B, etc
3. Answer quiz on village

Instructions

Talk to Beavers/Cubs about Road Safety, Crossings & the Green Cross Code
Split them into Lodges/Packs (or small groups) & give everyone a high-viz jacket
Give each group a sheet to list the A-Z items they find round the village center, a sheet with the quiz on & a couple of pens
Send each group with at least 1 adult to find items/businesses/landmarks/etc beginning with each letter of the alphabet. At the same time they can try to complete the quiz and identify/draw some road signs (on the back of the quiz sheet)
Meet back together to compare findings.
