Scraps of paper material or felt for capes/masks

Instructions

Read the story Supertato and talk about how he is a hero saving the vegetables. Children to use their vegetable they have brought in and make it into a superhero. (Have spare vegetables for those who forget...)

Children to split into nests to make masks capes etc to decorate their vegetable. As they are making them the children to talk in their nests; What makes their vegetable special? What are their powers? Will they use them for good deeds?

Now it is their turn! Children to make their own superhero vegetable using felt or material . What is their power. What could they do to help others? Discuss as a group afterwards . Is there an activity that could happen in Squirrels to help others? Expand on their ideas.
