Instructions

Gather the squirrels together to talk about what sort of challenges they could do. A challenge is something that is hard for you and will be different for each child! Ask for suggestions of things they think would be a challenge for them and split them into Recycle Home and Squirrels to give them some ideas. Write on a white board and leave them there for inspiration.

Go off in their dreys to complete the 1-2-3 sheet (adults can write them down but ideas need to come from the children) Draw your picture in the middle and write your name. Then put down 3 challenges. They might need to think again about what others said. (Leader to record in a list the challenges in case the papers get lost at home!)

If time gather together and talk about their own challenges (if they want to). Send them home with the children. Remind the children when the home ones are complete then they will bring it back and make sure the Squirrel challenge is complete also. Email the parents to confirm that they need to check and sign the challenges.
Award badges once all challenges signed off! It may take some time for some children to return them. They could do 3 challenges at Squirrels if the home ones take a while to return!
