Credit to Dave Wood who posted this idea in the 1st Facebook Beaver Scout Colony group.

A wide game involving a bag of penne pasta and making necklaces.

Resources

1 piece of string per Beaver - length 60 cms.
(thread 1 piece of pasta onto each length of string and tie at one end (leaving 3 cms free to tie later to the other end).
penne pasta (1.5KG bag is sufficient for 21 Beavers)
Suggestion - tape round the threading end to make it easier to thread on the pasta piece.

Instructions

Scatter a pack of penne pasta around as big a playing area as possible.
Give each Beaver a piece of string that has been threaded with 1 piece of pasta.
Beavers then go and try to find the pasta and thread onto their strings.
When complete, a Leader ties it into a loop to make a necklace.
Early finishers can use Sharpies to decorate.

Any unfound pasta makes a treat for the wildlife.
