Description

A game of skill as Scouts work together to transport the "hot isotope".

Resources

- A round tin, such as a baby formula tin
- A large elastic band that fits snuggly around the tin
- String: 6 lengths tied to the elastic band

Instructions

1. Place the tin on the ground. Explain that the tin contains a "hot isotope" that needs to be transported - without directly touching the tin, as that's dangerous!
2. Scouts to work in teams of 6, each taking an end of the string that's attached to the elastic band.
3. The aim is to pull together, so that the elastic band will fit around the top of the tin.
4. Once in place, Scouts are challenged to move the tin to a designated area - still only pulling on their length of string.
