Description

A wide game in the dark

Resources

Glow sticks (needs to be the thick ones to be able to write on them)
x1 permanent marker
Paper
Pencils

Instructions

-Before the meeting think of a word or phrase (depending on how hard you want to make it.
-Write one letter (if it is a long phrase or you have younger children you could do one word) per glow stick with a permanent marker.
-Before playing the game crack the glow sticks to make them glow and hang them in low branches on trees and bushes (the kids need to be able to see the letters)
-Explain to the groups that they need to collect all the letters and put them in the write order to make a word or phrase but that they must leave the glowsticks where they are when they find them (if you only have one group of kids you could let them collect them)
-Let them go and explore

Variation 1- Code breaking
You can but a chypher on each one and give them a key to make it a bit harder/ exciting e.g- 3=C or C=R

Variation 2- Easier
If you want to make it a bit easier you can put the number before the letter of the place the letter goes in the word
e.g- CUBS would be 1-C, 2U, 3B, 4S
