Various games to play over Zoom

Instructions

Simon Says
Check everyone has space around them.Share a set of actions to choose from (setting the actions in advance helps with risk assessment).

Everyone take it in turns to be ‘Simon’ (if they want).

Set a time limit for each ‘Simon’ if necessary (just a few seconds should be enough).

If they say ‘Simon Says’ then everyone should do the action, if they don’t then people shouldn’t (no one is ‘out’ if they get it wrong, it’s just fun)

Actions:
- Jump
- Hop on 1 leg
- Hands on your head
- Touch your toes
- Strike a superhero pose
- Salute
- Turn around in a circle
- Sit down
- Clap your hands
- Touch your knees
- Wiggle your fingers
- Wave
- Quack like a duck

Thumbs up for the first option, thumbs down for the second.

Drawing on Your Head

Equipment
- Pencil/pen
- Paper /small whiteboard
- Something to lean on if using paper

Name an object, for example, a tree or a lion. Each person must put their whiteboard (or a piece of paper on top of a book) on top of their head and draw the named object. When they think they are done, they take their drawings off their head and show them to the group.

We did a Lion King scene, one item at at time:
- Lion
- Tree
- Warthog/pig
- Meerkat
- Monkey



Pass the Sombrero
(Variation of pass the parcel)

Equipment
- A hat
- Music (Mariachi music is good as this is a Day of the Dead game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZRbcVG6WEQ&list=PLujOlA0EuuHBfNPi98iLkIkxDc0IxEGdD&index=3&t=2137s)

Put your hat on and off as quickly as possible while the music is playing, if you have the hat on when the music stops you do a forfeit.

Forfeits
- Run round your chair (or in a circle) 5 times or for 10 seconds on the spot
- Do 5 push ups
- Act and sound like a bird
- Act and sound like an elephant
- Make a funny face
- Turn your t-shirt or jumper all the way around without taking it off
- For the next round alternate between putting your hat on your head and on your foot



Kim's Game - Breakout rooms

Hands on your head (stops them writing things down or taking a screenshot).

Leaders shares the above picture with whole group

Give them 20 seconds to look at the picture.

Sort people into breakout rooms.

Announce Team Leaders who will be writing down their team’s list (adult in the room to do the same as a double check)

Go into breakout rooms for 5 minutes.

Work together to try to remember all the items in the picture (someone to take the lead and write down the list (leader to do the same to check).

Bring everyone back to the main room and share the picture again so they can check their answers.



Pictionary
Leader shares the Zoom Whiteboard, pick someone to be the first to draw, they use the Annotate function to draw a picture and the others guess. The person with the correct answer draws next or picks who draws next.

Best to give a theme for the drawings, e.g. animals.
