Description
A game that can be used for any theme which helps Beavers/Squirrels to learn their peers names.
Resources
Print out 3 different cute pictures of Leprechauns, there are plenty of printable examples if you google.
Water colours or felt tips.
Sweets.
Instructions
Colour the Leprechauns in advance or get early arrivals to do it.
Number the pictures 1 2 3.
Children sit in a circle with the pictures in the centre.
In turn a Beaver leaves the room or eyes are covered and the remaining children chose which one of the pictures is the real Leprechaun, place a sweet on it.
Leader then names the 2 remaining pictures with the name of a Beaver making a note of names used so every Beaver has a turn at being named, a sweet is placed on the 2 Beavers pictures.
The Beaver comes back into the room and choses a number, if it is one of the Beavers pictures the children chant "You can eat James" the Beaver can then chose again, if he choses the REAL Leprechaun Beavers chant "don't eat the Leprechaun"
If a Beavers picture of a Leprechaun is not chosen then that Beaver gets to eat the sweet on his named picture.
Repeat until everyone has had a go at being IT and has been named as a Leprechaun.
Basically the Beaver who is IT gets to eat 1 or 2 sweets or non if they chose the real Leprechaun first.
Make sure you have enough sweets for your numbers and make sure there are some spares for any child that didn't win a sweet at all.
