Scouts will work in teams to collaboratively plan an expedition route and identify risks.

Instructions

1. Break Scouts into Teams: Divide Scouts into small groups of 4-5.
2. Provide Maps and Materials: Give each group a map of the expedition area, a compass, and any other relevant materials (e.g., markers, notepads).
3. Route Planning: Instruct groups to choose a route that considers terrain, points of interest, and safety. They should mark their chosen route on the map.
4. Discuss Risks: Each group should identify at least three potential risks on their route and how they will mitigate them, such as difficult terrain or weather conditions.
5. Present to Group: Each team presents their route and risk mitigation strategies to the entire group for feedback.
