Design your own rocket then watch it fly across the room!

Colouring pencils/Felt tips
Sellotape
Straws
Balloons
Scissors

Instructions

YP design their own rockets using the provided templates (or can design their own).
Thread a straw on to some string then tie the string taut across a room (at least 2.5m but more would be better).
Attach the rocket template to the top of the straw and and inflated balloon (not tied with the open end facing backwards) to the bottom.
Let the balloon go and watch it fly!
This could be adapted with multiple lengths of string to have the rockets racing.
