Create your own galaxy in a jar!

Glass Jar
Cotton wool
Food Colouring
Large jugs
Water
Glitter

Instructions

1) Start by preparing your coloured water. Use three jugs and add a few drops of different food colouring to each — mix well to create three vibrant colours.
2) Place a layer of cotton wool balls into the bottom of your jar, pressing them down gently.
3) Choose one of the coloured water jugs and pour in just enough to almost soak the cotton wool layer.
4) Sprinkle in a small pinch of silver glitter.
5) Add another layer of cotton wool, pressing it gently into the layer below.
6) Sprinkle in a second pinch of glitter.
7) Pour in more coloured water — feel free to use a different colour this time if you’d like.
8) Continue layering cotton wool, glitter, and coloured water until your jar is full.
9) Top it off with a final splash of water and screw the lid on tightly.
P.S. Try not to use more than 15 cotton wool balls per person to ensure there is enough.
