Briefing:
Explain that the children will go on a “journey of a lifetime”, learning about the sacred pilgrimage called Hajj, one of the 5 Pillars of Islam.
Let them know they’ll travel through 7 stations, each representing a step of Hajj.
Each station includes a fun activity and a message about what Muslims do and why.
Give out “Hajj passports” to be stamped at each stop.
?️ Station 1: Ihram & Niyyah (Intention) – 6 mins

Equipment:
White scarves or tea towels

"Labbayka Allahumma Hajjan"
("O Allah, I intend to perform Hajj for Your sake.")
Explanation:
Pilgrims wear Ihram (plain white clothes) to show equality before Allah.
No fancy clothes, perfumes, or arguing—just simplicity and peace.
This marks the start of the spiritual journey.
The intention (Niyyah) is a promise made in the heart.
Questions & Answers:
Q: Why do Muslims wear white clothes during Hajj?
A: To show that all people are equal before God – rich or poor, everyone looks the same.

Q: What does the word "Ihram" mean?
A: It refers to both the special white clothing and the sacred state a pilgrim enters when starting Hajj.

? Station 2: Tawaf – Circling the Kaaba – 6 mins

Cardboard box or cube covered in black cloth (Kaaba)
Gold tape or paper for decoration
Cones or arrows to guide 7 circles

Dua (recited frequently during Hajj, especially during Tawaf):
"Labbayka Allahumma Labbayk.
Labbayka la shareeka laka Labbayk.
Innal-hamda wan-ni’mata laka wal-mulk.
La shareeka lak."
“Here I am, O Allah, here I am.
You have no partner.
Here I am.
Verily all praise, grace and sovereignty belong to You.
You have no partner.”
Explanation:
Tawaf is when Muslims walk 7 times around the Kaaba in Mecca, the holiest place in Islam.
It shows love, unity, and focus on Allah.
Pilgrims say the Talbiyah Dua while walking.
Questions & Answers:
Q: What is the Kaaba?
A: It's a sacred building in Mecca, built by Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail. Muslims face it during prayer.

Q: Why do we walk 7 times around it?
A: It’s part of the tradition of Hajj and a way to remember the oneness of Allah.

Q: Can anyone go inside the Kaaba?
A: Only a few people (special workers) go inside to clean it—most Muslims walk around it as a sign of devotion.

Explanation:
Sa’i remembers Hajar, the wife of Prophet Ibrahim, who ran between two hills searching for water for her baby Ismail.
Allah rewarded her trust and effort by bringing forth Zamzam water.
This act shows hope, trust, and action.

Q: Who was Hajar?
A: The wife of Prophet Ibrahim and the mother of Prophet Ismail.

Q: What was she looking for?
A: Water for her crying baby.

Q: What did Allah give her in return?
A: The Zamzam well – a spring that still flows today in Mecca.

? Station 4: Arafat (Reflection and Prayer) – 6 mins

Explanation:
Pilgrims stand on the plain of Arafat, praying and reflecting on their life, sins, and asking for forgiveness.
It's considered the most important part of Hajj.
Activity:
Children write or draw something they are grateful for or want to improve about themselves.
Questions & Answers:
Q: What do people do at Arafat?
A: They pray, ask for forgiveness, and think deeply about their life.

Q: Why is this day special?
A: It’s called the Day of Arafah, and Allah forgives many people on this day.

Q: Can children reflect too?
A: Yes! Everyone can think about how to be kind, honest, and closer to Allah.

? Station 5: Muzdalifah (Collecting Pebbles) – 6 mins

Cups/envelopes
7 small paper/foam "pebbles" per child
Stars/posters for night sky atmosphere

Explanation:
After Arafat, pilgrims rest outdoors in Muzdalifah and collect 49–70 pebbles to use the next day for the symbolic stoning of the devil.
It teaches simplicity and being close to nature.

Q: Why do Muslims collect stones?
A: To use them at the next step – stoning the pillars that represent evil.

Q: Where do they sleep that night?
A: On the ground under the open sky—no hotels!

? Station 6: Rami al-Jamarat (Stoning the Devil) – 6 mins

3 cones or cardboard pillars with devil face or sign
Soft balls or beanbags
Marked throwing line

Explanation:
This act remembers when Ibrahim was tempted by the devil and rejected him by throwing stones.
Pilgrims throw pebbles at 3 pillars to show they reject bad choices and evil.
Questions & Answers:
Q: Who was tempted by the devil?
A: Prophet Ibrahim, but he stayed strong and didn’t listen.

Q: What does stoning the pillars mean?
A: We are saying no to bad thoughts, actions, and temptations.

Q: Can we do this in real life?
A: Yes – by choosing good actions and ignoring bad ones!

? Station 7: Eid al-Adha & Sacrifice – 6 mins

Explanation:
After completing Hajj, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha.
It marks when Ibrahim was willing to sacrifice his son, and Allah provided a sheep instead.
Muslims sacrifice animals and share food with the poor.

Q: What does "Eid al-Adha" mean?
A: Festival of Sacrifice.

Q: Who was willing to sacrifice his son?
A: Prophet Ibrahim – a test of obedience and love for Allah.

Q: Why do Muslims give meat to others?
A: To share blessings and help those in need.
