Description
Pirate Swords - High seas weaponry
1- Cut the following 3 shapes out of thick, sturdy cardboard. The rectangle (which will become the handle) and the guard should be flattened to make them more flexible.
2- Cover the guard with colored adhesive tape (we used the adhesives used by electricians, it's much cheaper than masking tape and you can find quite a few different colors in DIY stores).
3- Push the blade of the saber into the provided hole, then wrap the rectangular cardboard around the end of the blade which protrudes in order to form the handle.
4- Cover the handle with colored tape and then push the handle into the other end of the guard. Add more colored tape to secure everything. To solidify the base of the sword, slide a skewer into the handle and secure with tape. Finally, cover the entire blade with glue and stick on aluminum foil to give a "metal" effect.
