Scouts will try to write and draw using their feet or mouths to encourage empathy and understanding of different abilities.

Instructions

Discuss famous artists who create art using their mouths or feet and show some of their work.

Provide each Scout with a piece of paper (and a clip board to keep it steady if you have one)

Instruct them to write their name whilst holding their pen with their foot or in their mouth . It's easier if they sit on a chair; if they are using their feet or stand by a table if using their mouth

After they've mastered their names, encourage them to draw a simple picture whilst holding their pen with their foot or in their mouth

Support those who need help to maintain balance while drawing.
