Description

Kids love making and playing with this glowing campfire craft. It’s super easy to make and perfect for summer, fire safety week or summer camp

Resources

Clear plastic cup
Tissue paper in red, orange and yellow
Glue
LED tea lights
Brown construction paper or big lollipop sticks
Scissors
Cotton balls
Thin craft stick

Instructions

Cut up tissue paper up into little square (or you can buy pre-cut tissue paper square)
Scrunch up pieces of tissue paper and glue to the outside of a clear plastic cup, continue until the entire cup is covered.
While the tissue paper is drying, make a marshmallow roasting stick by gluing a cotton ball on the end of a thin craft stick
Add some logs to your campfire by cutting strips of brown construction paper, use a brown marker or crayon to add some details to your logs
Alternatively use big lollipop sticks as logs
Now its's time to set up your campfire. Start by setting up the logs. Place a LED tea light on top of the logs and then put your tissue paper cup over the light.
Go somewhere dark or turn lights off and watch it glow!
