Description

Young people trace around their hands and cut them out - handprints create a poppy display

Activity can run between 30-60 minutes depending on young people cutting ability

You must complete your own risk assessment for this

Resources

Red, green and black paper
Scissors
Push pins or glue sticks
Backing board or pin board

Instructions

1. Young people trace around their right hand on red paper, then cut them out
2. Sixers and Seconders (or Senior Cubs) trace around their right hand on green paper, then cut them out
3. Adult and Young Leaders trace around their right hand on black paper, then cut them out
4. A leader will pin together (or stick if using a backboard) the handprints to the board in a poppy shape
