Description

The goal of the activity is to get your guides thinking critically about the impacts their actions can have on the environment, and to look at the different ways to improve the longevity of the items you own.

Instructions

To start, you split you unit into groups of around 4-5 (the attachment has enough for 6 groups, but you can have more or fewer depending on your unit's size).
Then, you give each group the 8 R's, cut out and out of order.
Then you give them a few minutes to put them into an order that they think will have the most impact to the least impact. You may need to give them the meanings for some of the words, e.g. refurbish.
Once each group thinks they have them in the right order, tell them the correct order, and let the guides find out which ones they got right or wrong, and how using these different techniques can help to minimise as much waste as possible
