Description

Scouts work in teams to match events from Scouting history to the correct dates. Each correct match reveals a letter, and together the letters spell out the Scout motto: "Be Prepared."

Resources

Scout the past printable sheet for each group, a pair of scissors, and a pen to write down the letters behind each event card in the correct order.

Instructions

Prepare the event cards and the date cards. Print Scouts are divided into patrols or small groups. Each group receives a set of event cards and date cards related to Scouting history. Their task is to work together to match each event to the correct date. Once all matches are made, they flip over the event cards to reveal letters on the back. If the matches are correct, the letters will spell out the Scout motto: "Be Prepared." The first team to correctly complete the phrase wins.
