Description

We have a system of awarding points to the Beavers for good behaviour, winning games, etc. Each Lodge has a jar, the beads go into that and at the end of each half term, members of the Lodge with the most beads are given a blanket badge. If you have a different reward system, you would need to rework it to fit.

Instructions

At the start of the meeting, each Beaver is given a bead. They are told that at the end of the session they will be able to put the bead into the jar to help the Lodge, or they can swap it for a sweet. Tell them to think about what they will do.
Half way through meeting - get the Lodge together, ask them to talk about what they have decided and why.
At end of meeting, ask them again. Ask them what has influenced their decision.
Have other Beavers said something to them?
Have they changed their minds?
Does the type of sweet matter?
Before they go home, everyone gets a sweet and gets to put their bead in the jar - as long as they have joined in the conversation.
