Instructions
Set up 8 bowls or trays labeled with planet names. Fill each with a material that represents its texture:
• Mercury: sandpaper or fine gravel (rocky/ cratered)
• Venus: clay with a layer of sticky slime (thick atmosphere, hot surface)
• Earth: soil with small rocks and moss (life and variety)
• Mars: red-dyed sand (dusty and dry)
• Jupiter: shaving cream (gas and clouds)
• Saturn: cotton balls and glitter (soft, with rings)
• Uranus: smooth blue gel (icy gas giant) Or ice balloon
• Neptune: cold, damp sponge (windy and wet-feeling)
