Split the YP into sixes/patrols and as them to spend 5 to 10 minutes discussing the issues that are important to them - what would they like the government to do/change.
Ask each group to choose one of the issues they have highlighted and tell the whole group what they think the government should do and why they think it is important.
Ask all of the YP to then vote on the issue they would like to debate further.
Explain to the YP that we are going to debate their chosen issue in more detail and then a Adult (or a Young Leader) should lead a debate on this subject. Someone should take note of the important points that the YP make. FRom this the Pack/Troop should work together to send an email to their local MP asking for their support on the issue they have raised.
