Resources

Dough (check for allergies / sensitivities e.g. gluten) - different colours for different lodges, in festive colours if possible
Timer - sand timer is ideal, so young people can see how much time is left

Nice to have
Dough tools - sculpting knife, rolling pin, mat

Instructions

How to Play
Decide how you will run the game - in pairs, teams of __, dreys, lodges, packs etc. I will use 'team' for the rest of the instructions.

Prepare the cards but cutting them out. The number after the word represents the number of points scored if guessed correctly and correlate to the difficulty. You may wish to only use draw cards from a certain pile (say 1 points from the younger players) or have them all randomised in a big pile.

1. Give each team an equal amount of dough.
2. One player from each team will go up to the adult leading the game and pick a card or be given a whispered prompt.
3. The young person returns to their team and must mould the object without speaking. They can do an action/mime with the object they have sculpted but they cannot use the dough to model letters to spell out the object.
4. Everyone else on the team guesses what it is.

Have an adult/ young leader with each team to assist with modelling if they get stuck

Different ways to run the game
1. Have all teams model the same thing in a set amount of time. First team that guesses correctly scores the number of points on the card. If no team guesses correctly within the time limit, move onto the next card. Team with the highest points wins.

You can also increase the challenge by taking a small amount of dough away from the teams that didn't score in that round.

2. Have it as a relay race. Each team will model the same card but no time limit, they will keep guessing until the answer is correct or they choose to forfeit. Then they can go to the adult leading the game to request their next card. Adults must keep tabs on which cards to be assigned to ensure fairness. Each correct answer scores the number of points on the card. Team with the highest points wins after the game runs for x amount of time.
