Information from the Scout website to teach the young people about the origins of Cub Scouts and it's relation to the Jungle Book.

Instructions

Use the information from the Scouts website to explain to the young people that Cub Scouts is inspired by the book, The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling and why it's inspired by it.

Have them choose a colouring sheet and do some mindfulness colouring.

This is a good activity for when you need to split the young people up because you can only have small numbers completing an activity at one time. For example if 2 sixes are learning how to sew badges onto their jumpers, the other 2 sixes can be colouring then swap.
