Squirrels will collaborate to create a large drawing or collage representing their experiences and values as members of the group. This activity aims to foster creativity, teamwork, and communication skills among the Squirrels.

Resources

Large drawing paper or card
Crayons, markers, coloured pencils
Glue and scissors (safety scissors for younger Squirrels)
Magazines for collaging (optional)
Wipes or damp cloths for cleaning hands afterwards

Instructions

Group Formation: Divide the Squirrels into small teams, ensuring each team has a mix of creativity and skills. With at least 1 leader per team.

Artwork Theme: Explain that the theme of their artwork will be "What it means to be a Squirrel."

Brainstorming: Discuss and brainstorm ideas in teams. Encourage them to think about what makes being a Squirrel special to them, values they associate with the group (like friendship, adventure, helping others), and activities they enjoy.

Materials Preparation: Provide each team with drawing paper, crayons, markers, or craft supplies like glue, glitter, and magazines for collaging.

Creating the Artwork: Give teams 15-20 minutes to create their artwork:
-They can draw scenes, symbols, or words that reflect their ideas about being Squirrels.
-If using collage materials, encourage them to cut out images that represent their feelings and stick them on the paper.

Presentation: After the artwork is complete, ask each team to present their creation to the whole group. They should share what they drew and the meanings behind their choices. Can be a leader

Reflection: Prompt a discussion about the different artworks. Ask questions like, “What did you enjoy about the activity?” or “What do you think makes us a great team?”
