Description

Explorers will rotate around practical life-skill bases designed to build independence and confidence for life beyond home. Skills include sewing repairs, ironing safely, wiring a plug and understanding fuses, basic budgeting, laundry care, cleaning techniques, and bed-making challenges.

This hands-on session supports Independence, Skills Challenge and Money Skills badge requirements while developing essential real-world knowledge every young person should have before leaving home.

Anything to do with home economics. Basic sewing equipment, ironing, sheets, rewirable plug and screwdrivers, pens and paper, clothing labels,

Instructions

10 mins intro & safety briefing
6 bases x 12 mins rotation
5 mins reflection and close.

Split into small groups and rotate.
