Description
On a night where you have asked the cubs to bring a donation for the food bank, a relay activity where the leader shouts for an item and teams run to find a suitable item and bring it back for their shopping bag.

? The "Shopping List"
1. The Breakfast Club - Find an item people eat first thing in the morning (Cereal, jam, oats).
2. No Cooker Needed - Find something someone could eat even if they didn't have a stove (Tinned fruit, crackers, tuna).
3. The "Pop-Top"- Find a tin that has a ring-pull lid (Many people in temporary housing don't have a can opener).
4. The Protein Powerhouse - Find something that helps people stay strong (Beans, tinned meat, lentils, or peanut butter).
5. The Thirst Quencher - Find a drink that doesn't need to be kept in a fridge (UHT milk, squash, or long-life juice).
6. The Treat Move - Find something that would make a child smile (Biscuits, chocolate, or a nice pudding).
7. The Hidden Veggie - Find a vegetable that has been put in a tin so it stays fresh for a year (Sweetcorn, peas, or carrots).
8. The "Just Add Water" - Find something that comes in a packet and turns into a meal with hot water (Instant mash, noodles, or soup).
9. The Clean & Fresh - Find an item that isn't food but helps people stay clean (Soap, toothpaste, or deodorant).
10. The Base Layer - Find a big bag of something that provides the "base" for many meals (Pasta or Rice).
11. The Longest Date - Find the item with the furthest "Best Before" date (Teaches them to check labels!).
12. The Warm Hug - Find something that would be comforting on a cold night (Tea bags, coffee, or hot chocolate).
