Description

This quiz aims to familiarise members with Fairtrade and the cocoa supply chain, and help them learn about which chocolate products are Fairtrade.

• Markers/pens
• Fairtrade Chocolate Quiz Questions for Leader(s)
• Bonus Round - Fairtrade Guessing Game - 1 per Patrol
• Fairtrade chocolate (optional)

Instructions

Start by introducing/discussing what Fairtrade is and naming some Fairtrade products.
1. Give each Patrol a copy of the chocolate bar guessing game challenge. Give them 5 minutes to work together on it. Allow bonus points if the Guides can guess which chocolate bars are Fairtrade.
2. Again in their Patrols, tell the Guides to name Fairtrade products for each letter of the word ‘CHAMPIONS’. Give them 3 minutes to come up with as many as they can and then come together are a group to discuss.
3. Introduce the Fairtrade Chocolate Quiz. Explain that there are two rounds, with 10 questions each.
a. For Guides: Run in Patrols or pairs with multiple choice options
b. For Senior Branchers: Make it more challenging by running the quiz individually or in pairs without multiple choice options
4. Leaders should then collect and mark the answer sheets.
