Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
This activity aims to teach members about how we can protect natural spaces from human disturbances by following the seven principles of Leave No Trace.
Resources
• Colours (crayons/pencils/markers)
• Spot the difference pictures (one for each member)
Instructions
1. Start by asking the whole group about what they like about being in nature or going on a Ladybird Day Out.
2. Give each Ladybird a copy of the spot the difference picture of a protected versus a non-protected campsite
3. Ask them which campsite they like more, and discuss why they choose it. For example, litter, noise, cleanliness, etc.
4. Next, ask the girls to circle/colour what they think the things with a bad impact are in red.
5. Then, ask the Ladybirds to circle/colour what they think the things with a good impact are in green or blue.
6. End by talking about how we can protect our favourite nature places by following the principles of Leave No Trace.
