Description

This game aims to help Ladybirds learn how to say hello in different languages.

Resources

Printed Cards

Instructions

1. Print out the template with the greetings from around the world.
2. Give each Ladybird a card with a greeting in another language, making sure you have at least two girls for each greeting. If you have an uneven number in your unit, print an extra card of one so three Ladybirds will have the same greeting.
3. Practice how to read their cards with them.
4. Have the girls walk around and say hello to each other based on the card they were given until they find the other Ladybird(s) with the same greeting as them.
5. When everyone has found their match, come together and talk about how people say hello differently across the world.
6. As a bonus, work together to find which country each of the greetings come from.
