Instructions

Instructions:Instructions:

Divide into Patrols: Organise Scouts into small groups of 4-6.
Materials: Each team can select materials from the store, craft cupboard, or find items in the hall (e.g., cardboard, plastic bottles, cloth).
Building the Ship: Each patrol has 30 minutes to design and build their pirate ship. Encourage them to include features like sails, flags, and pirate decorations!
Presentation: After the ships are built, each team will have 5 minutes to present their ship to the other groups, explaining its name and special features.
Competition: If there’s time, you could set a challenge where the ships are tested for buoyancy in a nearby water source – the ship that stays afloat the longest wins!
