Cubs will split into two groups, one making fruit salad and the other making pizzas as part of the Healthy Eating Activity Badge.


Resources

- Fruits for fruit salad
- Cheese, tomato puree, French bread (cut up) for pizzas
- Plastic knives, plates, cups, baking trays, and greaseproof paper

Instructions

1. Explain the importance of handwashing before and after cooking.
2. Divide Cubs into two groups: one for fruit salad and one for pizzas.
3. Each group should have the necessary ingredients: fruits for the salad and cheese, tomato puree, and cut-up French bread for the pizzas.
4. Guide the group making fruit salad to chop the fruits into manageable pieces and mix them in a bowl.
5. For the pizza group, direct them to spread tomato puree on the bread, add cheese, and their chosen toppings.
6. A leader should be available to cook the pizzas in the oven (approx. 8-10 minutes at 180-200°C).
7. Ensure Cubs understand to clean their workspace afterwards.
