Description

Make a Knot Promise Key Ring. Practise simple knots for Beavers and make a key ring to take home which reminds them of their threefold Beaver Promise.

Resources

Key ring, Paracord, scissors, flame to seal the ends (this can be done in advance)

Instructions

Take a length of paracord and tie a lanyard knot around the key ring. Demonstrate an oberhand knot to the beavers and show them how to place it near to the key ring. Repeat until each beaver has a key ring three overhand knots. Knot 1 reminds us to do our best, Knot 2 reminds us to be kind and helpful and Knot 3 reminds us to love our world/God. Discuss what a promise is and how Beavers have kept their promise.
