Description

Setting the Cubs a summer challenge to read six books over the summer holiday break. They can then fill out the reading tree and bring it back to present after the summer break
1. Take them through the type of books, fiction, non-fiction, reference (dictionary), poetry, Drama, Graphic novels etc
2. take them through how to look after and care for their books, (attached print out)
3. Get then to deisgn there own book mark
4. take them through the summer challenge and reading tree.

this could be done as a group or in serparate bases depending on the size of the group.

Note make sure you set some time aside later on to go through the book reports and their 6 book choices they have read through the summer so you can sign off thelast 2 bits of the book reader badge.
