Become a World Food Explorer by tasting foods from around the world!
Use your World Food Passport to collect stamps as you try different fruits, snacks and dips from a variety of countries. There are no wrong answers – the challenge is all about being brave, curious and respectful when trying something new.

Handwashing or sanitising station
Allergy information sheet
Instructions
Each Squirrel Scout will receive a World Food Passport.
Visit each tasting station and:
Taste the food (or smell/look at it if you don't want to eat it).
Decide if you liked it by circling:
? Loved it
? It was okay

Ask an adult or Young Leader to stamp your passport.
Move on to the next country.
Foods include:

?? Pretzels
?? Poppadoms
?? Tortilla Chips
?? Breadsticks
? Hummus
?? Guacamole
?? Mild Salsa

Learning Objectives
By taking part, Squirrel Scouts will:
Try foods from different countries.
Show curiosity and bravery by tasting something new.
Learn that people around the world enjoy different foods.
Respect that everyone has different tastes and it's okay not to like everything.
Leader Notes
Check for allergies and dietary requirements before the activity.
Ensure good food hygiene and handwashing.
Encourage, but never pressure, children to taste foods.
Offer small tasting portions.
Alternative allergy-friendly options can be substituted where needed.
