Warm-up game for paddling.


Resources

2 paddles
Grass or sand area.

Instructions

Split the group into two equal teams. The teams stand one behind the other at the start line and then about 10m or so away there will be two paddles (one for each team). When you say go the first person in each team will run up to their paddle, lift the paddle up and hold the paddle vertically straight up and down with the bottom blade against their chest. Once they have hold of the paddle they have to do 10 complete spins on the spot as fast as they can. Once they’ve done the spins then they put the paddle down and run back (if they can as they will be dizzy) to the next person in their team who will then go. First team back will be the winners.
If you want to make this a bit more interesting have the teams run to the paddles forwards do the spins and then run back backwards.
