Worksheets to help members identify different parts of watercraft and a buoyancy aid and learn how they stay safe.

Resources

Worksheets printed (and laminated), enough for one per patrol.
Pens (wipeable) or paper and pencils.

Instructions

Divide up into patrols and ask them to complete each of the worksheets. It works well if they do it against a timer and divide up who does which one and then check each other's answers before deciding when they are ready to hand them in. Swap worksheets with another patrol and go through the leader's sheets reading out the answers. Score points for correct answers and take away the time they spent doing it from their final score. If you can do it outdoors with the real watercraft so much the better.
