Resources

Food - variety of food traditionally associated with the Oktoberfest / Bavarian / southern Germany
[Lidl or Aldi usually have specific foods at reasonable prices during September and October]
Weißwurst / curry wurst / bratwurst / sauerkraut / German sweet mustard (Senf) / big soft Bretzeln (NOT the little crunchy ones) these can all be cut up to avoid waste and excessive cost.

Apfelstrudel - frozen versions are available from Lidl / Aldi and often other big supermarkets like Morrisons, Asda and Tesco relatively cheaply.

Under 18 drinks - Spezi (not really available outside Germany - recipe below) or apple juice
Spezi recipe (works best with genuine but other brands are available)
- 2 parts coca cola
- 1 part Fanta (not Tango as it's just not the same)

ONLY IF doing this activity with Network or Adults can beer sampling be included!!!

A way of playing the YouTube clips and music

1kg weight that can be easily held in 1 hand and won't damage the floor if dropped so not caste iron or similar. Fabric wrist or ankle weights work well and can usually be adapted if younger scouts feel that 1kg is too heavy.

All other game / craft items in individual documents.
