Scouts learn what they need to think about when packing a rucksack

Instructions

The week before ask the patrol leaders and deputy patrol leaders (or anyone about to go on their Expedition Challenge) to bring along a packed rucksack the following week. You may wish to suggest they don't pack their underwear.
Scouts split into patrols. Give each patrol leader sheets 1 & 2 and then the patrol leader asks their patrol members to answer each of the questions. Once they have done so, the patrol leader can empty their rucksack for everyone to see what they packed. Give them sheet 3 to discuss whilst re-packing their rucksack. What would they change?
Once all patrols have finished, ask them to gather round in their patrols and each member can let the troop know about something new they learnt and/or you can ask them questions based on sheets 4 & 5.
